Brine
BRINE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
EUTHANASIA DATE: FEBRUARY 28
CONTACT:
Stockton Animal Service
1575 South Lincoln St.
Stockton, CA 95206
Katt Rogers and Tara Morrison – sasrescue@stocktonca.gov
DESKLINE: 209-659-7132
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Brine is a handsome, happy boy who likes to have fun! He is a super gorgeous pup that loves toys and going on adventures. He is good with other dogs and enjoys off-leash doggy playgroups. He knows basic commands. Brine is good with respectful kids – he loves attention and isn't jumpy, mouthy, or pushy.
Definitely no cats for this boy... he would need further testing for other small animals. He could live in a home with male and/or female dogs.
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
My goodness, is this guy handsome or what!! No question mark needed. And any guys out there need some arm candy? Brine is up for the challenge!! He loves to snuggle and will be sure to attract all the ladies with his adorable smile.
All joking aside, this young man has been overlooked at the shelter for far too long. I have no idea why because he's absolutely amazing! Like the biggest snuggle butt ever... he literally melts as soon as you touch him – such a sweet, sweet, sweet young man. I'm so sad that he is in danger! Praying for a miracle. Please help me find him a miracle to save his adorable life!!!
In playgroups, Brine comes out "hot" but shows to be a mix and mingle type with large male and female dogs – he is not into the playful stuff!
What we have here is a wonderful, socialized pooch that has ended up at what could be the end of the road for him. He needs an adopter and he needs one pretty soon. If you have space in your heart and home to save him, he would be forever grateful.
Do you already have a dog? If so, bring them with you for a proper introduction when you call the City of Stockton Animal Service to arrange a meet n' greet. Please hurry!

BRUNO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE!
CONTACT: Devine Animal Control
305 Watson Ave
Devine, Texas 78016
Alexa Garza, devineanimalcontrol1@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: (830)-355-8007
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bruno is a very sweet boy that loves his humans – and loves attention! He is good with other dogs and doesn't seem very interested in the cats at the shelter. He was, however, brought to the shelter for killing
a neighbor's cats. Shelter staff feel he was following his partner in crime and as mentioned, not very interested in the cats at the shelter. That being said, a kitty-free home would be necessary – no sense in
setting him up for failure...
Bruno doesn't appear to have had any formal training and would definitely benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes. He's smart and treat motivated and would learn his basic
commands in a jiffy!
If you are interested in meeting Bruno, please contact Devine Animal Control (above) for more

would be great for any adventures outdoors and absolutely loves the beach. Bugsy also loves to show off his quick wit and intelligence and is currently working on improving his forever dog skills and

DESKLINE: 208-800-9983
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Charlie is a calm pooch but is excited to play when taken out of his kennel. He knows basic commands and is house/leash/crate trained. He has gotten along with all of the dogs he's met at the shelter with the exception of one. He has not been kid-tested but shelter staff feel respectful, older children (8+) might be okay. So! Who out there is looking for a laid-back pooch that still loves to play but is way past the chewing-everything-up phase? If you are the family/person looking for a practically turn-key dog, Charlie is for you! Please contact the West Valley Humane Society (above) for more information and to arrange a meet. Already have a dog? Bring them with you for a proper introduction. Please hurry!!!
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers have to say:
Charlie originally came to the shelter due to his owner passing away. He is an affectionate and sweet old man. At first, he can seem very aloof, but as he gets to know you, his personality really comes out. He is very smart and goofy. He LOVES playing fetch, tennis balls, and playing in water. He is house trained, crate trained, and knows sit and "off." He has been known to interact well with livestock and ducks while on leash and has done well with most dogs. He gets excited about walks and will initially pull, but he has been leash trained and he does well on walks.

Charlie is a happy-go-lucky goofball of a boy who is ready to bring some zoomies and playtime into your life! Why not call the Dallas Animal Shelter (above) and make an appointment to meet Charlie?
Already have a dog? Charlie would like that...a playmate...bring them with you for a proper
introduction.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Chi is becoming very kennel stressed and he is running out of time. (Please watch his videos) Chi is a smart, strong, loving girls and loves to play. He would benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes after given a time to decompress. This would also be a great opportunity for his new family/person to form a strong bond.
Chi has had a horrible start to life (again, please watch his videos) and deserves a family/person that will love her, protect him, give him love, structure and show him how wonderful his life is going to be. He has a high prey drive so no cats, small dogs or other small animals.
Chi came to the shelter after being shot in the face and left to die. Well, he didn't die! Please, someone rescue Chi before it's too late! The shelter is overcrowded and dogs are coming in everyday. Don't let Chi get euthanized because the shelter needs his kennel!
Please contact the Galveston Island Humane Society for more information on Chi. He's waiting....

COFFEE IS AVAILABLE FOR RESCUE!

CONTACT: Hands ‘N Paws

Othello, WA
Madison Holcomb - HnpOthelloShelter@outlook.com
DESKLINE: (425)870-4340
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Coffee is a very sweet and playful girl that absolutely loves snuggles. She adores kids but has only
been around kiddos 7+ years old. She lived with a cat in her foster home, would chase it but not do
anything with it when she caught up to the cat. Coffee does need a slow introduction to other dogs and would do best as an only dog in the home. She gets overwhelmed when put in a pack of dogs she's notbmet before. Off leash doggy playgroups are not for Coffee.
Coffee entered Hands 'N Paws care 5/18 after animal control found her in the Othello Walmart parking lot severely underweight. She was covered in crate sores, had bones poking out of her butt and a severe
lung infection. It's obvious she's not had good experiences with humans. She is extremely food driven probably a result of her being starved. She knows basic commands and is house/leash/crate trained.
Coffee needs a family/person that will give her time to decompress and realize she is safe and loved.
She needs a family/person that will try to understand what she's been through, stick by her and do what they can to set her up for success.
If you are that special family/person willing to show Coffee that all
humans aren't mean and uncaring, please contact Hands 'N Paws (above) for more information.

December
DECEMBER IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
EUTHANASIA DATE: PAST DUE - URGENT!
CONTACT:
City of Stockton Animal Services
1575 S Lincoln Street
Stockton, CA 95206
sasrescue@stocktonca.gov
DESKLINE: 209-929-9180
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
December is a silly pup who loves to play and would thrive in an active home. Hiking? Camping? Walks? December is your boy! He is dog-friendly – preferring female dogs. While he isn’t aggressive with male dogs, he was visibly uncomfortable and avoided them in playgroups.
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
December is a goofball! This little boy is a ball of fun and energy! He gets excited about the little things and will definitely show it. He LOVES to play and will play with just about anything! He always has a smile on his face!
He doesn’t have favorites—he loves balls, stuffies, rope toys, and squeaker toys! December easily fills a room with laughter, prancing around with a giant smile on his face and introducing himself by rubbing against new friends like a cat. This goofy little guy has no idea what to do with himself and plays like he has zero coordination. It makes for a lot of great laughs when he’s rolling over or tripping on his own feet.
December is also a talker… but he has the most girly high-pitched voice you will ever hear. While he’s full of energy, he also has a lovely gentle side! He loves a good snuggle and will flop over for belly rubs. He’s great about taking treats and knows how to be gentle.
He would love an active home with lots of playing and walks. December would likely do great with older kids (5+). He does need some leash training! Please give this amazing goofball a chance – he will definitely brighten your life! Just look at that smile!
December's “due out” date was 5 pm yesterday (1/26/25). He is literally on borrowed time. Surely there must be a family or person who would love to have a buddy like December. Please, contact the City of Stockton Animal Services (above) for more information and to arrange a meet-and-greet. Already have a dog? Bring them with you for a proper introduction.

Dream
DREAM IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE!
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Dream is a young pup around 8 months old. Shelter staff and volunteers are teaching her basic commands so she will be ready for her new forever home. Dream is a fun, athletic, go-getter, affectionate lap cuddle boy! She has not been tested with kids or small animals, but shelter staff and volunteers feel she would be fine with respectful kids and good parental guidance. Dream is good with other dogs and, as mentioned above, is learning basic commands. She is leash and crate trained.
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
Did you just wish upon a star? Then this might be your Dream coming true! Sweet Dream is a tricolor 40 lb. pooch, who we're told is about 8 months old. She's a typical bully teen who is very eager to learn, gaining confidence, and truly enjoying being with people and dogs.
Clownish, athletic Dream loves chasing and fetching toy play. We haven't yet found a toy she doesn't love. She is really wonderful on neighborhood leash walks and very resilient to environmental city sounds. On the occasions when her full-of-beans, excited teenager jumping comes out, this clever gal is easily refocused with basic training games.
Dream is also lovely and very patient around other dogs. If you believe Sweet Dreams are made of dog kisses and wiggly bums, then this enthusiastic pocket pittie might be just right for you! Dream is a very clever girl and will worm her way right into your heart – if you'll only come and meet her!
Please call San Francisco Animal Care & Control and make an appointment to meet Dream. Already have a pooch? Bring them with you for a proper introduction.

DUKE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE – URGENT!
EUTHANASIA DATE: WAY PAST DUE! URGENT!!
CONTACT: Dallas Animal Services
1818 N Westmoreland Rd.
Dallas Tx 75212
DASRescue@dallas.gov
DESKLINE: 469-515-1020
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Duke is a very sweet and loving boy who gets along well with other dogs. He has not been tested with kids or other small animals. Duke arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender due to their housing situation. You just have to look at his photos to see he's feeling pretty down.
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
Duke is a sweet and affectionate dog who is currently on medication for a URI. Despite not feeling his best, he remains gentle and loving with the staff. In playgroup, Duke tends to keep to himself, but he’s friendly and allows gentle greetings from the other dogs. He enjoys exploring the yard at his own pace, occasionally walking up to handlers for some attention, but mostly prefers to pass by the other dogs and enjoy his own space. Duke is a calm and kind companion, and we know he'll thrive with a little extra care and love.
Surely there has to be a family or person looking for a gentle canine soul to share their life with. If that's you, please contact Dallas Animal Services (above) to arrange a meet. Already have a dog? Bring them with you for a proper introduction. Please hurry – he is past his euthanasia date.

DAS Rescue Team – dasrescue@dallas.gov
DESKLINE: 469-858-5698
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Who knows what Elsa's story is? It must not be a very good one, though. She is not very trusting of new people and does well with gentle dogs.
Elsa is a sweet 2-year-old girl who's still finding her confidence. From shelter staff/volunteer observations, she seems to prefer a gentle approach and tends to do better with calm, easygoing dogs. While initially shy, Elsa usually warms up when given time and patience. Her tail wags suggest she's friendly at heart, but she may need some extra reassurance in new situations.
Please call Dallas Animal Services and arrange a meet n' greet with Elsa before it's too late! She only has until Wednesday before being euthanized. She could live in a home with gentler dogs, so if you have one, please bring them with you for a proper introduction. She is quickly running out of time!

Farah is past her “due out” date and is extremely kennel stressed from being in an overcrowded, under
staffed shelter. She came into the shelter extremely emaciated (see photo below). Farah made play yard
friends then but due to her kennel stress has begun “fence” fighting with certain dogs. Farah needs an experienced owner - one familiar with the breed - or a rescue with the resources to help relieve her stress level so she can find her forever home. Farah is very loving to people...and did we mention she is a bit of a fashionista? Take a look at her modeling photos!
If you are an experienced owner or a rescue please contact Tulare Animal Services (above) before it's too late. At this point, it is recommended she be the only dog in her home. That could/might change once she feels safe and is surrounded by loving, patient people.

Frankie
Frankie is available for adoption!
CONTACT: Dallas Animal Services 1818 N Westmoreland Rd. Dallas, Tx 75212
Rescue Department, Dasrescue@dallas.gov
DESKLINE: 469-515-1020
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Frankie is a shy guy that warms up to you quickly. He's good with other dogs and is leash trained. Being a young fella, a round of positive reinforcement training would be beneficial for him. It's a great way for you to bond with your new family member, as well.
What we have here is a diamond in the ruff. We don't know what his story is but given time to decompress and time to realize he is safe he will be the best boy ever! To our knowledge he has not been around children but again, being so young, if he were introduced to slightly older (10+), respectful kiddos he might be just fine. He could also live with a calm, playful pup.
Are you the family that is willing to give Frankie a chance to shine in a kind, loving home? Already have a canine family member? Bring them with you for a proper meet n' greet! Please contact the above shelter if you think Frankie would be a good fit in your home.

Gator
GATOR IS AVAILABLE FOR RESCUE!
EUTHANASIA DATE: TODAY, JANUARY 23 - URGENT!
CONTACT: OC Animal Care
1630 Victory Road
Tustin, CA 92782
Tammy.Osborn@occr.ocgov.com Alexina.Estrada@occr.ocgov.com
DESKLINE: 714-935-6848
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Gator is a very calm, sweet boy who has gotten kennel stressed in the shelter environment and will leash climb and bite at the leash when being taken out of his kennel. Gator has not been formally assessed with other dogs, kids or other small animals. He does know basic commands. Gator is so sweet and playful. He isn’t doing well at the shelter and needs out and to be evaluated once he gets to decompress a bit. Please take the time to read though the dog trainer/volunteer notes below.
Volunteer and Dog Trainer Notes:
While he was on the potty list, he was getting put in the yard majority of the time rather than walked, which is pretty typical of any dog that gets on the list. Behind the gates, he would often just bark and pace. If someone was in the yard with him, he would interact with them. I never have been in the yard with him, but that is what I observed.
I walked in many times before he was put into building one. He is a strong little guy, but usually walked pretty well for me on a leash, with minimal pulling other people said he pulled a lot that that wasn’t my experience. He was very energetic when he wanted to get out of his kennel, but once he was out, he was just happy to be trotting around and peeing on everything I started putting one of the weighted backpacks on him at first he was confused, as most dogs are, but he did really well with it and was even easier to walk.
I don’t recall any notes regarding reactivity. Like I said, he was pretty loud behind a fence if there was a dog next to him in the yard, but on walks, he didn’t seem to care much, and if he did start to fixate, I was able to easily redirect his attention to me or to the walk. He does no sit and he takes treats very gently. I never tried to shake or anything else with him.
The last few weeks he appeared to be extremely overstimulated. I don’t think he was getting out of his kennel very much once he was marked green and removed from the potty list (not sure why).
On his notes from the shelter, it says he started snapping at people in his kennel. His behavior did change, but that’s not how I would describe it. He started getting really pushy and he was nipping at the leash, not my hand, but it wasn’t out of aggression, it was out of stress and anxiety. I was able to wait out some of those behaviors and leash him when he calmed down. Not everybody knew to do that or was willing to do that. I never experienced him leash climbing either. A lot of of his behavior in the Kennel was all for show and to get attention so he could get out.
Anyway, I really like Gator and found him very easy to work with. I don’t know if I have any video of him though. I tend to just focus on the dog and need to be better about getting video of them.”
A Second (Seasoned) Volunteer's Notes:
I only took him out a couple of times but I found him easy to walk although he could pull strong. The one time I took him to the yard he did get overstimulated but I remembered redirecting with ball or a toy.
Unfortunately I don’t know the dogs in 5/6 that well unless they are long term we have volunteers that come and take them out because they are next to the yards. most days by the time I get there all the dogs in 5/6 have been out
From the volunteer willing to pay for a board and train:
Gator is dog selective. If another dog is aggressive to him he is aggressive back and threatening. He actually went face to face with a very reactive dog but only postured. He could have bit but didn’t. He is a lonely dog at the shelter and he likes to be around people. As far as tricks, all I have seen him do is sit. He needs training. He pulls on a leash and he is very lonely and bored at the shelter and I am sure that is why he has the behavioral issues like biting the leash. I know he would do well if someone actually paid attention to him and worked with him. Also if it would help I would donate to Boise if they took him like pay for transport and donate to their program.
Please contact Orange County Animal Care for more information on Gator. Please hurry – If he's not euthanized today it could happen at any time.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Gracie is a young pup (6 months old) that is good with other dogs, children, and cats. She enjoys off-leash doggy playgroups and knows basic commands. She is house/leash/crate trained. She's the perfect pup! She does tug a bit at first on leash but responds to gentle correction. She is currently being fostered with multiple dogs of all sizes and both genders. She has gotten along with every kiddo she's met and shows no aggression. She enjoys playing with the foster's cats!
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
Gracie was found by a citizen huddled underneath a car injured. The citizen brought her to the shelter in hopes they could help. The shelter reached out to the volunteers to see if anyone would be able to foster her due to her injury. She was brought to the vet who confirmed a fractured front paw. It was an old injury and did not recommend intervention at this time due to her age. She is currently in foster care waiting for a rescue to further help her.
Gracie is, as mentioned, a young pup that in spite of living on the streets for who knows how long, is a sweet, loving affectionate girl that would thrive in a home full of love! Please contact Del Rio Animal Control Shelter for more information and to arrange a meet n' greet with Gracie. Hurry up! Puppies shouldn't grow up in a shelter!!! This little sweetheart is waiting for you...
