Aspen - AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA
ASPEN ASPEN IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
EUTHANASIA DATE: COULD HAPPEN ANY DAY
CONTACT:
Beaumont Animal Care
1884 Pine St
Beaumont, TX 77703
animal.care@BeaumontTexas.gov
DESKLINE: 409-838-3304
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Aspen is an affectionate, active, energetic and independent girl. She is dog friendly with proper introductions – as should be the case with any dog. Older – 16+ years old – kiddos are advised due to her energetic play style. Aspen enjoys small off leash doggy playgroups, preferring male dogs. She is house & crate trained. Aspen would benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes to brush up on her basic commands and leash manners. Shelter staff feel she would thrive as an only pet – she could live with another male dog of similar size and rough play style. She has a strong prey drive – so cats and small animals are a NO.
What shelter staff & volunteers had to say:
Meet Aspen, a super sweet pup who is as smart as she is responsive to her people! This affectionate girl has a bit of a prey drive, so she's not suitable for homes with kitties or small animals that move quickly. However, she has had positive interactions with a dogs and we will thrive in a home environment. Aspen is crate trained and is a small to medium-sized dog with muscles for days! She may have a bit of a herding instinct, likely hinting at her possible Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix heritage. We believe she'll really blossom in a calm and loving home. With one-on-one attention and regular exercise, she settles in beautifully. This sweet girl will be incredibly grateful to find her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's ready to bring love and joy into your life, Aspen is the perfect match for you!
Please contact Beaumont Animal Care (above) and arrange a meet n' greet! If you have another dog, please bring them with you for a proper introduction. She is at risk of euthanasia – it could happen at any time. Please call...save a life!

Baby
BABY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
CONTACT:
Española Humane
108 Hamm Parkway
Española, NM, 87532
sara@espanolahumane.org
DESKLINE: (505) 753-8662
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Adjectives used to describe Baby's persona: goofy, friendly, jovial, affectionate, funny, cuddly....you get the picture....a wonderfully sweet boy that is looking for his forever family. He's been great with everyone he's met and shelter staff feel he would be fine with older (8+) kids that will respect his space and autonomy. He may accidentally knock a toddler over...
Baby is dog friendly & enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He is quick to read other dogs’ signals and doesn't push it if they don't want to engage. Shelter staff & volunteers feel he would be best with larger dogs (not toy breeds) due to his prey drive. He is far too interested in cats...so no cats or other small animals for Baby. He would love a canine sibling! Baby knows basic commands and is house/leash trained.
What shelter staff & volunteers had to say:
Baby is, well, a giant baby! This big boy is 80 pounds of goofy love. Great on leash and happy to play with stuffies in the yard, he loves a good cuddle session and, despite his size, tends to think of himself as a lapdog. Happy and easygoing, Baby loves people and other dogs (he may love cats a bit too much and should go to a home that's feline free). All this boy wants is a forever family that will shower him with pets, snuggles, a soft bed, and some stuffed toys he can throw around.
Interested in meeting Baby? Please contact Española Humane (above) to arrange a meet n' greet. If you already have a pooch, please bring them with you for a proper introduction.
BREED: Bully breed blend

Bruno
BRUNO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE!
CONTACT: Devine Animal Control
305 Watson Ave
Devine, Texas 78016
Alexa Garza, devineanimalcontrol1@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: (830)-355-8007
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bruno is a very sweet boy that loves his humans – and loves attention! He is good with other dogs and doesn't seem very interested in the cats at the shelter. He was, however, brought to the shelter for killing
a neighbor's cats. Shelter staff feel he was following his partner in crime and as mentioned, not very interested in the cats at the shelter. That being said, a kitty-free home would be necessary – no sense in
setting him up for failure...
Bruno doesn't appear to have had any formal training and would definitely benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes. He's smart and treat motivated and would learn his basic
commands in a jiffy!
If you are interested in meeting Bruno, please contact Devine Animal Control (above) for more

comfortable, he is nothing but an affectionate cuddle bug who doesn't mind playing with his friends.
Bugsy is a star athlete and his long legs will take him anywhere you are looking to travel next. He
would be great for any adventures outdoors and absolutely loves the beach. Bugsy also loves to show off his quick wit and intelligence and is currently working on improving his forever dog skills and

Chi came to the shelter after being shot in the face and left to die. Well, he didn't die! Please, someone rescue Chi before it's too late! The shelter is overcrowded and dogs are coming in everyday. Don't let Chi get euthanized because the shelter needs his kennel!
Please contact the Galveston Island Humane Society for more information on Chi. He's waiting....

CONTACT: Tulare Animal Services
3817 S. K St
Tulare, CA 93274
Nicole Thierry – nicoled170@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: 559.260.0478
PERSONALITY TRAITS
Ciara is kennel stressed. She does get along with other dogs but has resource guarding issues. A round of positive reinforcement training classes would be most beneficial for Ciara to work on the resource guarding and to brush up on her basic commands. She is only 2 years old and has not had an easy go of it. She could live with older (12+) respectful kids that understand her energy and resource guarding. Cats and other small animals are not recommended.
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Have to Say:
My experience with Ciara has been wonderful. She was my tester girl. I've taken her out with almost every dog in the shelter. I do always remove toys first out of precaution. She is a rough & tumbler player. She absolutely loves to play fetch. She will wear you out. She likes long walks/hikes. She loves intensely. She needs a strong leader to excel and/or training. You can see the love she has, she's just frustrated. Her resource guarding will need to be addressed.
Ciara would thrive as an only pet with a breed-savvy owner(s). She needs time to decompress from the chaotic life she's had thus far, love, kindness and understanding. If you think you can give her these things, please contact Tulare Animal Services. She is past her due out date and could be euthanized at any time.

Coffee- AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA
COFFEE IS AVAILABLE FOR RESCUE!
EUTHANASIA DATE: AUGUST 28
CONTACT: Hands ‘N Paws
250N Broadway Ave
Othello, WA
Madison Holcomb - HnpOthelloShelter@outlook.com
DESKLINE: (425)870-4340
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Coffee is a very sweet and playful girl that absolutely loves snuggles. She adores kids but has only
been around kiddos 7+ years old. She lived with a cat in her foster home, would chase it but not do
anything with it when she caught up to the cat. Coffee does need a slow introduction to other dogs and would do best as an only dog in the home. She gets overwhelmed when put in a pack of dogs she's notbmet before. Off leash doggy playgroups are not for Coffee.
Coffee entered Hands 'N Paws care 5/18 after animal control found her in the Othello Walmart parking lot severely underweight. She was covered in crate sores, had bones poking out of her butt and a severe
lung infection. It's obvious she's not had good experiences with humans. She is extremely food driven probably a result of her being starved. She knows basic commands and is house/leash/crate trained.
Coffee needs a family/person that will give her time to decompress and realize she is safe and loved.
She needs a family/person that will try to understand what she's been through, stick by her and do what they can to set her up for success.
If you are that special family/person willing to show Coffee that all
humans aren't mean and uncaring, please contact Hands 'N Paws (above) for more information.

3817 S. K ST.
Tulare, CA 93274
Nicole Thierry - Nicoled170@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: 559-260-0478
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Corey is a young pup finding himself not only in the shelter but on death row. He is past his “due out” date! He needs his human(s) to find him NOW.
Corey is good with other dogs and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He obviously hasn't received any training and would benefit from a round or two of positive reinforcement training. Do that and you will have the best, most loyal friend.
What shelter staff & volunteers had to say about Corey:
Corey came in to the shelter at just 3-4 months old. He has very little experience. I carry him outside. He doesn't mind me carrying him, except he's getting too heavy now. Once outside he plays great with all other types and energies of dogs. He will come to me when I sit on a blanket and get pets and hugs. He is a very sweet but timid boy. I think with some regular interaction he's going to be a great dog. Topanga is his sister. She is with him at the shelter.
Can you just imagine how scared he is? In the shelter for half of his very young life. C'mon, people! Surely there are loving, caring, kind people out there that are looking for a fur-baby that will just need time to decompress and realize what life is like outside of a shelter! Please call Tulare Animal Services (above) and make an appointment to meet Corey. You will not be sorry! He's past his “due out” date! Already have a dog? Bring them with you for a proper introduction.

Ego is a loving, goofy and playful boy. He loves all dogs and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He does have a rough & tumble play style but will adjust to dogs that just want to run. A round of positive reinforcement training classes would be most beneficial for Ego so he could brush up on his basic commands. Without training, young children are not advised – kids 12+ y/o would be best. Ego needs an owner that will give him time to decompress and will give him plenty of love. You will be richly rewarded in return!
What Shelter Staff & Volunteers Had to Say About Ego:
Ego is the longest resident at the shelter. He came in as a puppy and grew up there. He is a very sweet playful boy. He comes out hot and hyper but settles after a few minutes of play. We feel with a patient owner he will excel. He loves playing in the water and playing with toys. He's learning fetch, but needs some work lol. He is a really good boy who needs training or a strong, breed savvy owner to teach him. He loves every dog he plays with. His heart is huge. He gives great kisses and cuddles. He has done well in a foster home with several other dogs. Foster had no problems with his behavior.
Ego is kennel stressed and his people need to find him soon! He is past his “due out” date and could be euthanized at any time. Please contact Tulare Animal Services and make an appointment to meet Ego. Already have a dog? Bring it with you for a proper introduction.

EUTHANASIA DATE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5
CONTACT:
Dallas Animal Services
1818 N. Westmoreland Rd.
Dallas, TX
DAS Rescue Team – dasrescue@dallas.gov
DESKLINE: 469-858-5698
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Who knows what Elsa's story is? It must not be a very good one, though. She is not very trusting of new people and does well with gentle dogs.
Elsa is a sweet 2-year-old girl who's still finding her confidence. From shelter staff/volunteer observations, she seems to prefer a gentle approach and tends to do better with calm, easygoing dogs. While initially shy, Elsa usually warms up when given time and patience. Her tail wags suggest she's friendly at heart, but she may need some extra reassurance in new situations.
Please call Dallas Animal Services and arrange a meet n' greet with Elsa before it's too late! She only has until Wednesday before being euthanized. Harley -

MEET HARLEY!
HARLEY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
CONTACT: Berkeley Animal Care Services
1 Bolivar Drive
Berkeley, CA
afunghi@cityofberkeley.info
DESKLINE: 510-981-6600
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Harley came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about her past. Since she's been at the shelter she has played successfully with other dogs but needs to be well-matched because she is a strong and energetic player.
She enjoys pets, attention, fetch and treats....lots of treats! Being treat motivated means she will learn new tricks and training more easily. A round of fear-free training is recommended to reinforce the basic commands she knows already and teach her new tricks/commands. It's a great way for her and her new family to bond, too! Harley is learning leash skills – like not pulling. Again, being treat motivated she's picking the not pulling on leash quickly.
In order for Harley to succeed in her new home it is recommended she be an only dog. She is fine early on with another dog but becomes reactive after a little while. She does pretty well passing other dogs on walks but again, she is dog selective. Come down to the shelter and meet Harley – we're pretty sure you'll fall in love. Please contact the shelter above if you are interested in Harley.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Honey is a gorgeous girl that is sweet and loves attention. Playtime is her favorite time! Honey knows basic commands and is leash and crate trained. Older (12+ y/o) respectful kiddos that can handle her
energy are advised. Honey can be dog selective and would be best as an only dog. She has lived with other dogs in the past and it has not worked out well. She currently is living with a dog-friendly cat...
Honey needs an owner that is knowledgeable about the breed. A round or two of positive reinforcement
training classes would be most beneficial for Honey in setting her up for success in her new home. She loves her people and loves to cuddle! She suffers from mild separation anxiety, is a counter surfer,
resource guards food and toys, is reactive to other dogs when walking on leash. She has been attacked by other dogs in the past and it has had a lasting effect on her. This is why a breed savvy owner and positive reinforcement classes are strongly recommended.
Please contact Austin Pets Alive! for more information on Honey.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Hotsauce is a very happy, cuddly and super affectionate boy. He loves giving kisses and playing with toys. Hotsauce is good with other dogs and in off leash doggy playgroups. He is high energy so older (12+) children are advised. He could live in a home with another high energy dog.
Hotsauce has been in the shelter for a few months and it is taking its toll on him. He is a young boy and has puppy energy. Being confined to chaotic shelter life is not the best situation for him. He is ready to find his people! Hotsauce will need a family/person that will be patient, kind and loving with him and give him time needed to decompress. A round of positive reinforcement training classes would be most beneficial for Hotsauce so he can learn basic commands and be the best boy he can be for you.
Are you the family/person that is looking for a young, wonderful, loyal canine companion to bring joy and love to your home? Please contact Dallas Animal Services for more information on Hotsauce!
