Lobo- PAWS GRAD!
Lobo is available for adoption!

Meet Lobo! At first glance, Lobo might seem a little reserved, but give him a moment and you’ll see what a lovebug he truly is. Once he opens up, his personality shines, he’s full of affection and loves to stay close for pets and cuddles.
Lobo is a smart cookie, he’s very food motivated and already knows how to sit and quickly learned to stay while I stepped back for some photos! He may not have had much formal training yet, but he’s clearly eager to learn and catches on fast.
Unfortunately Lobo has recently been diagnosed with a torn cruciate. The area of the injury is his knee. CBLO surgery is recommended. The rescue will provide the surgery for an adopter once Lobo is settled into his new home and comfy.
He will need an adopter(s) willing to
help him recover at home.

Meet Baby! This little firecracker is full of spunk and ready to dish out kisses. She is a very affectionate girl and has a smile that’s a mile wide.
Baby has a lot of energy packed into her compact body. She wasn’t very interested in toys at the time but that may change as she settles in with us. This was her first time in the large play yard and everything else was just more exciting. The one thing that did catch her interest was treats. Baby is very treat motivated and super smart!
Without a doubt this meatball has such a desire to learn and work. She knows how to sit, was easily lured into a down and confidently waited to be released while I took her photos. Baby does have a tendency to get overstimulated easily. She would benefit most from a family who will provide clear boundaries and structure in her future home and one who will continue to teach her new things!

Toe
Toe is available for adoption!
Jada reports-
This is Toe! Due to some unforseen circumstances he is back at the rescue. We aren't sure what exactly is going on with his coat quite yet, but he will be seen by a vet soon. Despite his appearance looking a little rough, this guy didn't let it bother him one bit.
He happily greeted me in the yard with body wiggles and leaning in for pets. Now, this boy loves toys, but he walked away from his toy he was chewing on to greet me and come say hello. He wanted to be close and wanted to engage.
We started off by playing a bit. You can tell he lives for a good game of fetch. He is fast, he is agile but better yet he is connected with the person he is playing with. He brought the toy back to me every time. Toe knows how to drop the toy to keep the game going. He was willing to play until he could no longer breathe, or unless you have treats! He also didnt obess over the toy once it was put away.
Toe is very food motivated and so obedient. He's got a good handle on some basic obedience in low stimulating environments like sit, down, stay and coming when his name was called. He was such a good boy.
Toe's world is a little upside down right now and he really is just looking for a soft place to land. He is looking for a home body to call family, a family that wants to spend quality time with him, play with him and get out one some walks. Otherwise this guy would love to curl up with his people on the couch and just be together. Come meet Toe!

Aggie- NEW PAWS GRADUATE!

Aggie is a 1.5 year old pittie mix and very petite.
Aggie is a joyful little pup, she likes to take mornings slow and snuggly, then ramps up by mid day and is ready to play.
She loves the KONG, tug rope, running, sun bathing, snuggling, and fetch.
She is kennel trained and potty trained.
Aggie is very food motivated which has made training go smoothly. Aggie can sit, lay down, and stay, and is getting pretty good at recall.
Aggie spent her puppy days on the street and as such she comes with some quirks. She is highly food motivated and eats very fast. She does best with a slow feeder bowl. Aggie can become over stimulated quickly. She has a prey drive and will chase small animals like squirrels, birds and small dogs.
Aggie still lacks social skills with other dogs and gets over stimulated.
Aggie walks by other dogs fairly well but will need reminders.
All in all Aggie is highly intelligent and loving. She would be great running companion.

Meet Precious.
Precious is exactly what her name suggests, plus add in a fun, goofy, ball-chasing twist.
From the moment I spent time with her, it was obvious how smart she is. She already knows some commands and has that eager to learn energy that makes training feel more like a game than a chore. She will need some work on walking nicely on a leash and some other basic skills , but she’s so engaged and eager that I don’t think it’ll take long for things to click.
I offered her treats and she politely declined. To be fair, I was working with kibble, and Precious seems like a girl who knows her worth. But the second I brought out a ball it was completely a different story. She lit up.
Precious would happily play fetch for hours if you let her. It’s her thing. She’d sprint after the ball, bring it back, and then pause just long enough to come lean into me for a few pets before heading right back out for another round. It was the perfect mix, play hard, check in for affection, repeat.
What I really appreciated is that while she loves the ball, she’s not so obsessed that she can’t focus on anything else.
It was a hot day, so we moved our game of fetch inside, and let me tell you that was a level-up in Precious’s world. Chasing a ball across a cool floor, then hopping up to relax with it on a comfy couch, her idea of. A good time.
Precious does have a higher energy level and will need an active home that can keep up with her and continue to engage her mind. But she’s not all go, go, go. There’s a softer side to her too. She enjoys being close, soaking up affection, and just hanging out once she’s gotten her playtime in.
And her smile, her big, ear-to-ear, can’t-help-it smile, says everything you need to know. She’s joyful, goofy, and so, so sweet.

He’s a gorgeous brindle with that big, wide, open-mouthed petty smile that makes it impossible not to laugh. It’s clear he hasn’t had much structure or training in his past, so he’s still learning the basics. He’s strong, determined, and needs someone willing to show him how to slow things down because he wants to experience all the world has to offer, right now. He’ll also need help with impulse control and general obedience. But here’s the good part, dogs like Dale, with this kind of drive for toys are actually really fun to train. Toys and play are his language, and that’s a powerful tool when it comes to training and bonding with a dog. Food is great too, Dale also loves a good treat and will work for food as long as a ball isn’t in sight.
Dale is a bit of a wild child and he will do best in an active home that is looking to really engage and nurture a strong relationship with their dog. He isn’t a “ set him loose in the yard and call it good” kind of dog. He wants interaction, direction, and someone who’s willing to put in a little time to help him be his best self.

Madam

Meet Madam!
I spent some time with her and quickly learned that this gorgeous brindle girl has two main priorities in life, being as close to people as physically possible and snacks.
Madam has the biggest cartoon eyes I have ever seen. They are soulful, sweet, and absolutely full of love. Typically when I photograph the dogs I am able to direct their attention and eyes to the camera with a treat in my hand. Not Madam, every time I looked up from my camera I was met with her direct eye contact. She was constantly looking at my eyes as if to say, “I Love you" and “What’s next?"
And if I wasn’t taking pictures, I obviously was supposed to be petting her. Madam is a serious leaner. She will dive her head into your lap or legs, with her full weight against you, and settle in with the expectation that the pets and scratches will continue indefinitely.
She gave a stuffy some brief attention and initially raced after it with the stride of a gazelle, but toys quickly lost their appeal once she remembered that I was available for attention and snacks. Madam is a very big fan of snacks. She already knows how to sit, and while her attention span was a little short at first, she was incredibly coachable. By the end of our session, she was easily sitting and waiting while I took her photos.
Madam can get a little overexcited and jumpy at times, but she is easy to redirect. Given her size, she’ll need to keep working on the important skill of keeping all four paws on the floor. But she was easily leashed and walked nicely on the lead out to the yard.
Madam is a gorgeous, loving girl who would happily trade toys for cuddles, treats, and a human to stare at with those giant cartoon eyes. She is an absolute gem, and I have a feeling she won’t be with us for long.

Meet Chip.
If you're looking for a calm, leisurely companion who enjoys spending his days lounging around the house, Chip would like to respectfully suggest that you keep scrolling.
If, however, you're looking for a dog who treats every day like the greatest adventure ever created, then saddle up.
Chip is an adorably wild and wonderfully goofy boy who seems determined to squeeze every possible ounce of fun out of life. From the moment he stepped into the play yard, it was clear that this boy has two speeds, fast and faster.
Chip is very food motivated and can be very focused and attentive when treats are involved. He knows how to sit but will need some additional basic obedience. His attention span may be short, but his enthusiasm is endless.
And speaking of enthusiasm, Chip absolutely loves toys.
The second toys came out, so did Chip's full personality. He chased, pounced, sprinted, and played with the kind of excitement that makes it impossible not to laugh. Every now and then he'd suddenly decide that running at top speed was the most important thing in the world and launch into a full zoomie session.
Chip is the kind of dog who would thrive with an active family and a yard where he can stretch thos legs and burn off some of his endless energy. He currently pulls pretty hard on leash, but it's hard to blame a dog who finally has opportunities to get out, explore, and move. With consistency, exercise, and some training, I think he's going to make great progress.
Underneath all that energy is a sweet, happy boy who genuinely loves life. Everything is exciting. Everything is worth investigating. Everything is an opportunity for fun.
Chip is looking for a family ready to embrace his adventurous spirit, laugh at his antics, and help guide all that enthusiasm into becoming the very best version of himself. If you're searching for a running buddy, a toy enthusiast, and a dog who will make every day feel a little more exciting, Chip may just be your perfect match.

Meet Chip.
If you're looking for a calm, leisurely companion who enjoys spending his days lounging around the house, Chip would like to respectfully suggest that you keep scrolling.
If, however, you're looking for a dog who treats every day like the greatest adventure ever created, then saddle up.
Chip is an adorably wild and wonderfully goofy boy who seems determined to squeeze every possible ounce of fun out of life. From the moment he stepped into the play yard, it was clear that this boy has two speeds, fast and faster.
Chip is very food motivated and can be very focused and attentive when treats are involved. He knows how to sit but will need some additional basic obedience. His attention span may be short, but his enthusiasm is endless.
And speaking of enthusiasm, Chip absolutely loves toys.
The second toys came out, so did Chip's full personality. He chased, pounced, sprinted, and played with the kind of excitement that makes it impossible not to laugh. Every now and then he'd suddenly decide that running at top speed was the most important thing in the world and launch into a full zoomie session.
Chip is the kind of dog who would thrive with an active family and a yard where he can stretch thos legs and burn off some of his endless energy. He currently pulls pretty hard on leash, but it's hard to blame a dog who finally has opportunities to get out, explore, and move. With consistency, exercise, and some training, I think he's going to make great progress.
Underneath all that energy is a sweet, happy boy who genuinely loves life. Everything is exciting. Everything is worth investigating. Everything is an opportunity for fun.
Chip is looking for a family ready to embrace his adventurous spirit, laugh at his antics, and help guide all that enthusiasm into becoming the very best version of himself. Meet Banana. This adorable little lady is ready to steal your heart.
When I first approached her kennel, she was clearly overwhelmed. She made herself as small as possible, shaking, and nervous. I kept my voice neutral, took my time, and didn’t ask too much of her right away.
Even in those first few minutes, you could see it. Under the nerves, there’s this really sweet, gentle dog who wants to be brave. It didn’t take long for her to start warming up, especially once she realized she was safe. She responds so well to encouragement, and little by little, she started to come out of her shell.
I gave her some space once we made it to the yard and despite her fear she chose to sit near me. I didn't push her to engage and it didn't take long for her to really open up. Her tail started wagging when I said her name. When I told her she was a good girl, it was like it flipped a switch, she softened, her body relaxed, and suddenly there was this happy, wiggly dog. At one point she started doing this small, excited prance around me, like she couldn’t quite contain herself. She even started to get some small zoomies!
Banana loves affection! Once she trusts you, she leans into pets and scratches like she’s been missing them. And food definitely helped seal the deal, she’s more than happy to accept a snack or two as reassurance that you’re, in fact, her friend. She also knows a couple basic commads, she's a smart girl!
It was hot out, and without hesitation, she hopped right into the pool to cool off. No drama, no overthinking just a quiet confidence in that moment. I'm sure that once she’s fully settled, she might really enjoy the water, maybe even swimming.
Banana is still a little timid at first, and she’ll need a home that understands that and gives her the space to adjust. But what stood out most to me is how much she truly wants to connect. She wants to trust. She wants to be close to her people. And once she gets there, she is such a happy, affectionate girl. With a little consistency and a stable, patient environment, I have no doubt she’s going to thrive.
She’s already trying her best. She just needs someone to give her the chance to keep going.

Onyx is our BIG boy. He is the only male of the bunch and boy oh boy it is almost impossible to not love him. Weighing just under 130lbs he truly lives up to the term gentle giant. He is incredibly playful, he loves toys, he loves to play in the water from the hose outside, and he is extremely affectionate. Onyx has a BIG bark but it is simply that— just a bark. No aggression has been shown since his arrival at our shelter. He may seem like he’s worked up while he’s inside of the kennel, but he will calm down and stop with just minor corrective commands being given. He listens to commands although he can be stubborn sometimes, he is extremely food motivated, and he genuinely has the personality of a giant puppy. He has a whole lot of jowls which means he also has a whole lot of drool and it is the funniest thing. Onyx is derpy and goofy and does not realize how big he actually is. All he wants is to be pressed up against you getting all of the love and attention he possibly can. He is the biggest squish of a teddy bear and I won’t act like I’m not obsessed with him.

Sasha is just over 100lbs and she is spunky, fun, playful, incredibly loving, and so freaking smart. She lovessss toys (especially balls that squeak) and loves to be running around outside in the yards. One thing about her, you will very rarely find her with her tongue inside of her mouth! That girl is truly a “sun’s out, tongue’s out” kinda gal. Sasha is sassy in the best way and knows how to get what she wants. She is as pretty as she is affectionate and she truly thrives on human interaction. She walks well on leash and will do anything for a good treat. Sasha is also the queen of high fives and shaking hands— she loves to hold your hand for no reason at all and she also loves to pose pretty for the camera! She is incredibly curious of her surroundings and just like her besties she is eager to please and just wants to be loved. Sasha is so easy to fall in love with. She knows exactly how to pull on your heart strings to make you give her all the love and attention. The best girl.

Nova is a tiny little stocky pocket pittie with a HUGE personality, an even bigger heart, and absolutely no idea that her life may now depend on someone choosing to help her. She was found alone as a stray, and based on her condition and history, it is strongly suspected that Nova was used for backyard breeding before eventually being discarded and left to fend for herself. She gave her body to produce puppies, and when she was no longer wanted, she was left behind. And somehow, despite whatever she endured before arriving here, Nova still loves people with her entire heart. She is one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet. She is energetic, goofy, affectionate, playful, and completely overflowing with personality.
Nova wants to be wherever her people are and would happily follow them to the ends of the earth just to be included. She does well with other dogs, although she can occasionally be a little invasive of their personal space because Nova has apparently never been introduced to the concept of boundaries. She walks okay on leash, loves hard, lives loudly, and has so much joy packed into her little body.

Meet Duke.
The first thing I noticed about Duke was how excited he was to say hello. The moment I approached his kennel, his whole body was wagging and not just his tail, all of him. If happiness had a physical form, Duke would be it!
Duke is still settling in after his long trip from Texas, and like many dogs who have just arrived, he's taking some time to figure everything out. He does need a little work on leash manners and can pull pretty hard when he's excited, but he is just ready to get out and explore.
Once we made it to the play yard, Duke seemed a little unsure of my camera. There were moments where his nerves peeked through, due to loud noises and the wind, which is completely understandable given how much change he's experienced recently. What seemed to help most was staying close. Duke was happiest when he was right next to me, leaning in for pets and soaking up affection. There is something so sweet when dogs finds comfort being near their people, and Duke is definitely that kind of dog.
He's very food motivated and takes treats with the gentlest mouth and the cutest underbite. While he doesn't seem to have much basic obedience training yet, he appears eager to connect with people, and tasty snacks will go a long way in helping him learn.
I also brought out a toy to see if he wanted to play. Duke chased after it, but once he got there, he seemed a little unsure of what came next. Maybe it was nerves, or maybe toys are still a new concept. Either way, it felt less like a lack of interest and more like a dog who is still learning how to relax and let his personality shine.
