LIONEL- IN FOSTER
Mischief aka Lionel Lionel arrived at the Animal Care Facility shut down and afraid of humans. Lionel went into foster where he has been slowly learning to trust and believe he is safe. Lionel will need lifelong trust building rehabilitation with all new humans he meets. Gentle voices and kind hands are a must. Lionel will run away and not allow petting when out in an open space. He prefers to stay in his crate but has the door open for all the freedom he wants at his own pace. He loves toys and frozen PB KONGS. He is very sweet. He is short and stocky, weighing approx. 50lbs. We can only speculate on his past, but what we do know is that humans were not kind to him and hurt him physically and emotionally. LEOPOLD- PAWS Graduate! 10/19/2022
LEOPOLD IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION PERSONALITY TRAITS Leopold is one handsome dude! He's gone through the Givens Hall PAWS Training program and did very well. He knows his commands and is good on leash. He would love to be your (on leash) hiking partner or go camping with you – he's up for adventures! He would also love to share your sofa while binge watching tv with you! Leopold is very food motivated so it will be a breeze to teach him additional tricks and to reinforce what he already knows. His only real issue is he does not like other dogs and needs to be an only pet, with no off-leash exposure to other dogs. In other words, no doggy play groups or dog parks. Please don't adopt him thinking you can change this behavior – they tried in the PAWS program but he just isn't willing to share his space with another dog. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 2 years HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped GOOD WITH: Must be only dog; no cats or other small animals; respectful older (10+) children

MCCOY- 12/20/22 PAWS GRADUATE!
MCCOY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION PERSONALITY TRAITS McCoy came to the California shelter as a stray so his story is unknown. What they have learned when he was with them is that he is one sweet pittopotamus! He takes a little while to warm up but once he does you've got a friend for life.....a little snorting friend! When he gets comfortable he enjoys playing with toys and man he loves his toys! He also loves to cuddle with his human when he's done playing. This is all after he's had time to feel comfortable. McCoy is a very recent PAWS Graduate, graduated with a 100% pass on his Canine Good Citizen test, is house-trained and leash-trained. Just remember when first getting him home, give him time to decompress and get to know his new surroundings. Who knows what his life was like before getting to the shelter plus being in a shelter situation is very stressful. Now he's at the Animal Care Facility and thanks to our wonderful staff and volunteers it's not as stressful as a shelter but it's still not a home. He will, as any newly adopted dog will, need time to settle in and know he's safe. If you think McCoy would be the perfect addition to your family please submit a pre-adoption application. A proper meet n' greet will be arranged. He is the REAL MCCOY! BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: Estimated to be around 4years old COAT LENGTH: Short HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro chipped. GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children; cats & other small animals unknown
YUKON- Currently attending PAWS
YUKON IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS Yukon was surrendered to a small overcrowded shelter in Texas. Yukon's luck has changed because he has arrived at Boise Bully Breed Rescue and on his way to a new and better life! Yukon is a goofy, happy-go-lucky dog and loves both people and other dogs. What we have here is a diamond in the ruff that will be a true gem once he learns what is acceptable behavior for him. And he will pick that up in no time with training, patience, kindness and love. Yukon is a smart dog that needs regular exercise and stimulation....fill a Kong or two with peanut butter, hide them in your (fenced-in) yard then start taking bets on how quickly he'll find them! And once he lets off some steam he's ready for some snuggle time. Due to his energy level older (12+) children are recommended. We do not know how he is with cats or other small animals. BREED: Bully Breed Blend AGE: 1-1/2 years COAT LENGTH: Short HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro chipped. GOOD WITH: Dogs; respectful, older (12+) children
OLIVER- Currently attending PAWS
OLIVER IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS Oliver is a high energy, very loving boy that would thrive in a home with an active person(s) or family. He'd make a great hiking partner! He would do best with a family with older (12+) respectful children due to his play style, not because he would intentionally hurt them. Oliver loves all humans and gets along with other dogs. He does know basic commands but needs to be reminded of what he's supposed to do. He's very good on leash and will sit at the corner before crossing the street. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 1 year HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs, older (12+) respectful children. No cats or other small animals.

She is good with other dogs and respectful children. Macy knows basic commands and is house and crate trained. Macy is nervous with other dogs and initially avoidant but she is building her confidence in socializing with them. Once she settles in she becomes more comfortable. She would do well in a home that canprovide a lot of patience, encourage her with her training journey and help her build confidence when meeting new dogs. Myra- NEW ARRIVAL!
MYRA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS Best Friends saved Myra's life when she was impounded for the second time and the owners couldn't afford to save her – so they left her at the shelter to be euthanized. The shelter contacted Best Friends as all of the veterinarians - because Myra was so exceptionally nice - refused to euthanize her. Thank you, Best Friends for stepping up and saving Myra's life! Myra is very friendly and social with people and other dogs when properly introduced. She does get nervous if she is rushed by large dogs, as anyone would. Cats and other small animals are unknown. Myra knows basic commands, is leash and house trained and good with other dogs in doggy playgroups. Surely there has to be a family out there where Myra would fit right into....is it yours? BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 1 year HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs, respectful children; cats or other small animals unknown
Prim- IN FOSTER
Prim is available for adoption! Meet Prim 💕🌸 Prim is seeking an experienced person(s) OR a person(s) who is devoted and willing to learn about training a deaf dog. Prim arrived to rescue underweight, she is 6 months old and 25lbs. Prim was born with malocclusion, (teeth that don’t line up, her adult teeth are asymmetrical and in different stages of development) Future dental work may or may not be necessary as she ages, for comfort reasons. Prim has been struggling with GI issues. She is currently on meds to help with nausea. She has had many tests, imagining, and bloodwork done. West Vet Specialists are unsure what is causing this, but it's manageable with her meds. She is VERY food motivated, happy, and gaining back the weight she lost. Prim will need special training, meaning different obedience training than you would normally teach a dog with hearing. She already has learned these hand signals.. "come" "sit" "good" or "yay" "no" and "stop". She will test you, so you have to be consistent. She is VERY SMART. Prim loves walks! She is very curious. She loves to stop and watch kids play in the school yard, but will bark if something is too scary or new to her. I give her a little tap on her back and redirect her to walking and give her the hand signal for walking. Prim loves other dogs and to play. Prim will be best matched with a very patient dog that is as energetic as she is. Prim is being crate trained. She will need to be crated when left alone, for her safety, she is a puppy and curious. She is not 100% house trained but is learning quickly! Unknown with cats, but loves to play chase, a dog friendly cat with lots of energy and shenanigans might work well! (and keep Prim busy) Prim is not mouthy, but very interested in little people and might jump on them to play. We recommend children over 5 for Prim. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 6 months COAT LENGTH: Short HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped. HOUSE-TRAINED: No, working on it! GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children 5+; cats and other small animals unknown. No birds.
Burk- NEW ARRIVAL!
Burk is available for adoption! PERSONALITY TRAITS Burk found his way to the shelter in Texas as a stray but you can tell he was loved at some point in his short life by virtue of his training! He will sit, stay (for as long as you’d like) and won’t eat a treat or food unless you give him the okay. He is house-trained and crate-trained. Burk is a very sweet and loving boy who is extremely well mannered. He is good with other dogs and cats. BREED: Lab/Bully breed blend AGE: 2 years HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs and cats. We are not certain how he is around children but would probably be great with respectful kids.
Nova- Currently attending PAWS
NOVA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS: Nova came to the shelter as a stray - she was adopted but returned after a week because of the landlord's breed restriction policy. How Nova ever was a stray is hard to figure out. BBBR sprung her from the shelter and she is at our Animal Care Facility. She's a little timid at first but is a very loving girl. What we have here is a diamond in the ruff. A round of fear free-training and you'll not only have a stronger bond with Nova but you will have a well-mannered girl you will be proud to call your own. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 6 months COAT LENGTH: Short HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped. HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children; possibly cats; other small animals unknown
Mello- 12/20/22 PAWS GRADUATE!
MELLO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS Mello is, well, pretty mellow. He is very affectionate and cuddly; he loves to be near his human but he's not a velcro dog either!! He is a people centric dog. Mello walks very well on a leash and LOVES to go on walks. He is 6-7 years old, a perfect age for adoption: fully house trained, doesn't destroy anything while left alone, entertains himself - No crate. Previous information tells us that he needs to be an only dog in all likelihood. There is a chance that he could live with a submissive female but we have not tested him yet. Mello doesn't want to feel confined so there is no need to crate him; he has excellent house manners. A home without much chaos to cause over- stimulation, is best. Respectful children will work just fine (no screaming or running crazy) so older children may be best. In fact, he makes an excellent companion, a best friend, he's bonder for sure. When you leave the house he runs to his little chair (perch) and watches you leave (SO ADORABLE) and patiently waits for your return. Mello is also a clown; he's silly in short bursts. He gets a little puffed up when he sees other dogs, but he can be redirected with encouragement and treats. While Mello is an alpha male, you will not find a sweeter more loving animal/best friend/soulmate. He wants to bond and loves all people. We recommend new people coming into the house ignore him and have treats. He does run towards new people and barks (which can feel intimidating) but it's his clown/spaz behavior. Best method is ignore/drop a treat and within two minutes you have a new best friend. What is his perfect home? Freedom to roam his home, likely no other dogs/pets, a fairly calm environment, someone who wants to bond and have a new best friend and go on daily walks, soft blankets to cuddle, and a chair by the window to sit while he watches the world go by. He is a recent graduate of the PAWS program! CGC Certified!
Cooper- Currently attending PAWS
COOPER IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! PERSONALITY TRAITS: Cooper came to the shelter as a stray – how a young boy finds himself on the streets at 5 months old is hard to imagine. He's at the Animal Care Facility now and his life is about to change for the better! He's friendly and loving. He isn't trained, however, a round of fear free training will help build your bond with him as well as help him be the best boy possible! Are you ready to take on the challenges of raising a puppy? It is a commitment so if you are prepared to give him the time and training he needs you will not be disappointed. In fact, you will be richly rewarded with a lifetime canine family member that will no doubt give you endless years of happiness and joy! BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 5 months COAT LENGTH: Short HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and microchipped. HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children; possibly cats & other small animals
Vinnie- ARRIVING SOON!
VINNIE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Vinnie is fleeing California and heading to Idaho! Stay tuned for more info on Vinnie as we get to know him. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Vinnie is a fun-loving, friendly guy that wants a kind, loving home of his own. He would love a doggie roommate and has no resource guarding issues. Cats would be a hard no - he showed a bit too much interest in them. Vinnie is good with other dogs, loves off leash doggy playgroups, knows basic commands and is leash trained. Vinnie loves everybody he meets and is the life of the party! He is a very social boy that is on the lookout for his perfect family. He would do well with respectful children 8+ years old. Does Vinnie sound like he'd be a perfect fit to your family? If so and you already have a canine family member, please arrange for a proper introduction and meet n' greet. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 14 months HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children; no cats; other small animals unknown
Panda- NEW ARRIVAL
PANDA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Panda has arrived at Boise Bully Breed Rescue's Animal Care Facility! We will post updates once we spend some time and get to know him. PERSONALITY TRAITS Panda is an owner surrender through no fault of his own. His owner didn't want Panda or another older bully breed blend he owned. Panda is a gentle, medium-energy, shy, affection-seeking, playful boy. He is non-reactive with other dogs and playful. Prior to his surrender, he was a lifetime yard dog who didn't get much attention. As such, he is a little shy and low on life experience. He is easy to handle and loves attention but does need a slow approach from new people and doesn't immediately expect them to be kind. Living with another friendly confident dog would be ideal. Panda has done well with both males and females. He likes to play but may be intimidated by a rough player who is much bigger than he is. If beggars get to be choosers, a comparably sized, confident, medium energy spayed female would be his ideal companion. Panda is shy and nervous about the world so ideally would avoid another dog who has the same traits. Older children would be best (10+) because Panda is a little shy/cringy about being touched (zero aggression or flinching, just drops his head. Panda is believed to be crate and house trained. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 3 years HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs, older (12+) respectful children. Cats & other small animals unknown.
Benji- NEW ARRIVAL
BENJI IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Benji IS SAFE and has arrived at the Boise Bully Breed Rescue's Animal Care Facility! Updates will be forthcoming as we get to know him! He is friendly to everyone he meets and gets along with other dogs with the same personality. He would love to meet you and hopefully be your new best friend! Does Benji sound like he's be a perfect fit for your family? If so, please submit a pre-adoption application. Click link in bio! Arnold- NEW ARRIVAL
ARNOLD IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Arnold IS SAFE and has arrived at the Boise Bully Breed Rescue's Animal Care Facility! Updates will be forthcoming as we get to know him! PERSONALITY TRAITS Okay – enough is enough! Arnold somehow ended up at the shelter as a stray 6 months ago! That's a long time to be confined in a shelter....just think about it – the constant noise, only getting yard time a couple of times a day, never getting to snuggle on a sofa with a loving human....just mostly being in a cage. Now that's definitely better than being loose on the street but Arnold is running out of time. Unfortunately there are too many dogs that find themselves in similar circumstances and the shelters can only accommodate so many of them for so long. In spite of being in the shelter for all of this time, Arnold is still friendly, playful and very well behaved. He was introduced to other dogs and did well so it's believed he could live with another dog with a proper introduction. Cats and other small animals are unknown. Evaluators at the shelter saw no reason why he wouldn't do well with respectful children. Arnold knows basic commands, walks well on leash, LOVES to play fetch and is just a really good solid dog despite being in the shelter for over 6 months. C'mon, there's got to be a family that's missing the perfect piece to their family puzzle. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 2 years HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children; cats and other small animals unknown

Puffling was found stray in a city park, where she started playing with her finders dog. This savvy girl would do great as/with a second dog in the household, or would soak up all the attention in a single dog household. Puffling has a zest for life and is sure to brighten up your day! Puffling is good with other dogs & children, knows basic commands and is house trained. She is good off leash in doggy play groups. BREED: Bully breed blend AGE: 1 year HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs; older (12+) respectful children; no cats or other small animals
Fen- ARRIVING SOON!
FEN IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Fen is coming up the road from Twin Falls to Boise Bully Breed Rescue's Animal Care Facility, arriving soon! Get your pre-adoption applications in early! PERSONALITY TRAITS: Fen is a big 96 lb guy that is playful, friendly, active and snuggly! What more could you ask for? Fen is a love bug who is totally dedicated to his people. He is good natured with other dogs and people. He is a little leery and standoffish at times to unknown men but with proper guidance from his handler he is redirected easily. He's lived with cats but will chase and get mouthy with them. It would be best if he were supervised while he is around the kitty. He is a young, impressionable boy and would benefit from positive reinforcement training to refresh what he already knows – sit, stay, come, house trained, leash trained – plus learn some new tricks. It's a great way to bond with your new canine buddy! Due to his size and play style he would be best suited in a home with older (10+), respectful children. BREED: Bull Mastiff/Cane Corso mix AGE: 1-1/2 years HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped GOOD WITH: Other dogs; older 10+ (due to his size), respectful children; okay with cats as long as he is supervised; other small animals unknown
