Thor is available for adoption!
Thor is a six year old gentleman who just loves to walk at his own pace, and sunbathe, boy does he love the warm sunshine. Sure, he can jog a bit, or walk quite the distance, but his pace will be decided by using his built in Thor-ometer. He is a chill dude who wants to take in all the beauty around him while enjoying his day and his people. When Thor smiles, he lights up the world. He has the best smile!
Thor aced his Canine Good Citizen readiness test 10/10! Way to go Thor! Click below to watch Thor take his test!
PAWS report week 6/8
Weekly Summary: 6
This week we worked on preparing Thor for his final Canine Good Citizen (CGC) readiness test.
He did very good in all the commands that he usually struggled with like; standing still for inspection, and returning to the heel position on recalls. The entire team has done very well getting him ready as he did pass with the score of 10/10. Thor has been such a great dog showing no signs of aggression and remaining a low energy pet. He will be the perfect addition to any family.
Daily Journal Entry:
Today Thor got some overtime work with the few commands he still struggles with. It has been rainy this week and he hasn’t had a chance to get out and run so it may be some of that also. He went for his first side by side ride and absolutely loved it.
Interested in meeting this handsome guy? Please submit our pre-adoption application!
BREED: Bully breed blend
AGE: 6 years
COAT LENGTH: Short
HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.
GOOD WITH: Best as only pet in the house (8+) respectful children; Cat tested/not recommended.

Bobo- NEW PAWS STUDENT!
Bobo is available for adoption!
Volunteer Jada writes-
Sweet Bobo is an absolutely gorgeous boy who is very unsure of his new surroundings. I wasn’t able to get many pictures of Bobo because he is a pretty timid guy, him and I are still getting acquainted and I didn’t want to scare him too much with my camera. But this mellow mannered boy is quick to melt your heart. Despite his fear, Bobo does seek out affection once he starts to build a connection with people, he just needs some time and patience to get to know you. He has a very calm demeanor and is easy to leash up and is a great walker.
Where this boy really shines is around other dogs. He has had multiple opportunities to engage with other dogs her at the facility and being around other dogs really brings him out of his shell. Bobo would do best in a home with a confident and playful dog to show him the world around him isn't so bad. Bobo is looking for a quiet and patient home that will help him build his confidence!
BREED: Lab blend
AGE: 3-1/2 years
WEIGHT: 66 lbs
COAT LENGTH: Short
HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.
GOOD WITH: Other dogs, cats; respectful children; No livestock, other small animals unknown.

Roxy- NEW PAWS GRAD!
Roxy is available for adoption!
Roxy just completed a 8 week training program!
Vol Jada reports-
If you’ve ever wished your life had more lively joy and spontaneous laughter, Roxy is your girl. She’s wild, wacky, and faster than a toddler who just heard the word “bath.”
Roxy loves to play rough and rowdy, but after she burns off her turbo energy, she’s down for some low key snuggles and affection. She’s food motivated and very smart which will make training that much easier, and would thrive with some structure and basic obedience to help channel her inner goofball.
She’s dreaming of an active family—bonus points if there’s another dog who can keep up with her. Due to her higher energy she is looking for a home with older kids 12+. If your home could use a dash of wild fun and a ton of love, come meet Roxy!
BREED: Bully breed blend
AGE: 2 years
WEIGHT: 45 lbs
COAT LENGTH: Short
HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.
GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children 12+, cats and other small animals unknown.

Rocco- NEW PAWS STUDENT!
8 MONTHS OLD
Rocco is available for adoption!
Volunteer Jada writes-
Warning: There’s a tiny raptor on the loose! Meet Rocco part puppy, part mischief machine, 100% adorable.
This spunky little dude is all puppy - zoomies, toy collecting, treat snatching, and more zoomies. He’s convinced the world is his playground (and honestly, he’s not wrong).
Don’t let his squirrel level attention span fool you, though — when it’s time to train, Rocco’s got the brains to match the energy. He’s food motivated, eager to please, and already showing some serious potential. With a bit of structure, he’ll be the best sidekick you could ever ask for — playful, loyal, and endlessly entertaining.
If you’re looking for a partner in crime who will make you laugh every single day (and maybe steal your socks), Rocco’s your guy!
BREED: Bully breed blend

CHECK OUT HER FINAL CGC TEST VIDEO LINK BELOW!
PERSONALITY TRAITS
Nova is a very unique and special girl. She had a horrible start to life very early on. Because of this she needs a person(s) that will give her special attention, lots of patience, not force her into unfamiliar
situations and let people know not to interact with her until she is ready. She needs to know they will
not abuse her. Nova is not a dog for everyone – she needs a very special kind of understanding
human(s).
She needs:
• Consistency with <positive reinforcement> training and routine
• Time to adapt to new situations/things/people – all must be taken slowly
• Needs to be on leash when meeting new people, letting her use her nose to smell people from a distance.
• Due to her excitement level needs slow intro to other dogs
• Child-free environment
She is:
• Medium-high energy level
• Dog friendly
• Improving meeting new people
Once you bond with Nova she will be your best friend. She is very loyal and she will let you do anything to her once she trusts you. You will have a very faithful companion. When she gets past her
fears she knows her commands and she walks well on a leash. It just takes consistency and some time
but it’s worth it.
Are you interested in meeting Nova...understanding her needs in order for her to succeed? If so, please
contact Dan the Dog Trainer (above). She is a wonderful pooch – you will not be sorry!

Bailey
Bailey is available for adoption!
Volunteer Jada writes-
This is Bailey! At around 8 years young, Bailey is the perfect mix of gentle soul and playful spirit. She might be a little shy at first (especially if you’re holding a camera), but it doesn’t take long for her curiosity and affectionate nature to shine through. Once she warms up, she’ll happily trot over for pets, treats, and maybe even a little chat — she’s quite the talker when she feels comfortable!
Despite her age, Bailey still has plenty of pep in her step. She’ll surprise you with a few mini zoomies around the yard before settling down to enjoy the slower moments. She’s independent but loving, sweet but not needy — the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a calm, loyal friend by their side.
Bailey doesn’t know many tricks yet, but she’s food motivated and eager to please, so she’s ready to learn at her own gentle pace.
If you’re looking for a kind-hearted girl who’s just as happy to join you on a leisurely walk as she is to curl up beside you, Bailey might just be your match. Come meet Bailey and let her steal your heart .
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bailey can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up she is playful and loving. She does well in off leash play groups and used to live with multiple dogs including puppies that weren’t hers. It’s not
known for sure, but it’s believed she will do well around respectful children 8+. Will you be her new furever home?
Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Bailey:
Bailey came in with a large group of dogs after their owner became homeless. She is a little reserved at first due to this. Once she opens up she is a sweetie. She loves to play in playgroups.
BREED: Bully breed blend
AGE: 8yrs
WEIGHT: 53lbs

Banjo
Banjo is available for adoption!
Volunteer Jada writes-
Looking for a walking smile with four legs? Meet Banjo, the happiest little bowling ball you’ll ever meet!
This confident, social guy loves everyone — people, toys, snacks, and anything that promises a good time. He’s got the most adorable tongue that refuses to stay in his mouth (it’s all part of his charm), and he waddles around with so much joy that you can’t help but smile.
Banjo is all about balance — he’s got plenty of playful energy for walks, games, and toy time, but he’s just as happy to chill out as long as he’s by your side.
While Banjo doesn’t seem to have had much formal training in the past, his eagerness to please and love of snacks make him a great student in the making. With a little guidance, he’s sure to catch on quickly and shine.
If you’re looking for a lovable, goofy companion who brings endless laughter, affection, and a wagging tail wherever he goes, come meet Banjo!

He is also great at cuddling on the sofa for an evening of Netflix bingeing! Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Banjo: Banjo is a loving boy. He really enjoys booty scratches. He went straight up to our 9year old volunteer and sat with her like they were old buddies. He was very comfortable around her. He has been in play-
groups with large males and females and did great. He just wants to run around and have fun.

Lobo
Lobo is available for adoption!
Volunteer Jada writes-
Meet Lobo! At first glance, Lobo might seem a little reserved, but give him a moment and you’ll see what a lovebug he truly is. Once he opens up, his personality shines, he’s full of affection and loves to stay close for pets and cuddles.
Lobo is a smart cookie, he’s very food motivated and already knows how to sit and quickly learned to stay while I stepped back for some photos! He may not have had much formal training yet, but he’s clearly eager to learn and catches on fast.
Right now Lobo has a bit of a sore leg and is on medical rest so we couldn’t play too much, but don’t worry, his playful spirit still shines through! He’s interested in toys and can’t wait to get back to playing once he’s feeling 100%.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll blossom into your best friend with a little patience and structure, Lobo is your guy!
The shelter reported
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Lobo is an affectionate, playful boy that is dog friendly and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He is leash trained but a round of positive reinforcement training classes would be most beneficial for Lobo
to brush up on his basic commands. He's good with respectful kids – he was very gentle and sweet with the shelter's 9 year old volunteer. He has lived with other dogs prior to coming to the shelter. Shelter staff believe Lobo would make a great family dog! Lobo arrived to the shelter almost a year ago. He had an owner who never came for him. He has sat waiting for a new home all this time. He is a gentle and sweet boy that has been overlooked far too long. He is
affectionate and wants to be by your side. We think he'd make a great family dog.

Piano- NEW PAWS STUDENT!
Piano is available for adoption!
BBBR volunteer Jada reported-
Piano is a playful, sweet goofball! This boy has a lot of playful energy but listens pretty well and was very engaged with me. He loves people and attention. He can be a bit of a jumper when he is excited but it is manageable and with some guidance this would be easy to work through.
Piano is very smart and is also very food motivated, that combination will make training much easier! He also LOVES to play with toys and enjoyed it most when we played with the toy together. This sweet active boy is looking for a family that loves to get out and be active whether that be hiking, long walks or lots of play time with his favorite toys!
The shelter reported-
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Piano is a sweet younger pup that can be timid at first. He is gentle, sweet and quiet. He shares a kennel with another dog and has no issues. This guy has serious potential at his young age! Could you be Piano’s forever home?

Piano is friendly in off leash play groups and tested well with cats. Piano could benefit from some positive reinforcement training to perfect his manners. This guy has serious potential at his young age! Could you be Piano’s forever home?
Meet Piano, a handsome
and loving boy with a heart as sweet as his name. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was a little shy, but he’s blossomed into a friendly and affectionate companion. Piano is a true gentleman! He listens well to commands, never jumps up, and walks beautifully on a leash. This well-mannered pup is ready to find his one-of-a-kind family and fill their home with love and loyalty!

Autumn- NEW PAWS STUDENT!
Autumn is available for adoption!
BBBR Vol Jada reports-
Autumn-
Meet Autumn! From the moment she stepped out to the play yard, this happy girl showed off her gentle manners and warm personality. Autumn walked great on leash to the yard and quickly sought out affection, happily leaning in for pets and staying close. It’s clear someone has spent some time with her, she knows some basic commands, sits politely, and was easily lured into a “down”.
Autumn was a total superstar during her photo session, patiently sitting and staying while the camera clicked away. But her true personality sparkles brightest when the toys come out! Her playful, slightly uncoordinated hops are downright hilarious, and her enthusiasm is perfectly balanced with a soft, gentle play style. Whether she’s engaging with you or entertaining herself, Autumn radiates pure joy. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a heart full of sweetness and a spirit full of play, Autumn is your girl. She’s ready to bring laughter and endless affection to her forever home. Come meet Autumn, she’s ready to fall in love with you!
The shelter reported-
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Autumn is a sweetie pie and loves to give kisses. She does well with other dogs and would do well with
other dogs in the home. Autumn is said to be very sweet with children giving them kisses. A round of
positive reinforcement training would help her perfect her manners.
Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Autumn:
Meet Autumn! She came in with her brother October and is just as sweet, playful, and loving! A little smaller in size but equally big in heart, Autumn adores making new friends and can’t help but jump for joy when she’s around people. She walks nicely on a leash, listens well to commands, and loves to be the center of attention. Autumn is a loyal, affectionate girl who will happily follow you anywhere for a little extra love!

Domino
Domino is available for adoption!
BBBR Volunteer Jada reported- Meet Domino! This compact cutie is packed with playful energy and an endless desire to have fun. In the yard, Domino had an absolute blast hopping from toy to toy, proudly bringing them back so the game could keep going. He’s got the zoomies and the charm, the perfect combo!
He thoroughly enjoyed himself running around and playing with toys, but once the treats came out Domino was super focused, eager, and ready to learn. This guy is incredibly food motivated and super smart, making training not only easy but a total delight. He pays close attention, wants to please, and shows a natural talent for picking things up quickly. While he’s a superstar in the yard, he’s not loving the kennel environment. Domino is dreaming of a home where he can stretch his legs, show off his smarts, and share all the fun and love he’s been holding onto.
If you’re looking for a playful, smart, affectionate companion who’s always ready for another round of fun, Domino is your guy.
The shelter reported-
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Domino is dog-friendly and shelter staff believe he could live in a home with another dog. He has not
been tested with kids, cats or other small animals. Surely there is a family/person out there looking for a fun-loving pup that needs a second chance. Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Domino:
Domino is a fun-loving, high-energy pup who’s ready to find his forever family! This handsome boy has a big heart and an even bigger love for treats. Domino does best when he’s out of the kennel, where his playful personality really shines. Shelter life has been tough for Domino, he gets stressed when
people walk by his kennel and may seem reactive. But outside those walls, he’s all about playtime,
walks, and bonding with people who give him patience and love. Domino is looking for a home that understands his energy and will give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. Domino is in
need of placement due to space in the shelter.

Pickle- NEW ARRIVAL!
Pickle is available for adoption!
BBBR Vol Jada reported-
Pickle is is such a sweet guy. He met me with loose body wiggles when I approached his kennel, he was excited but easy to leash. We took a short walk as he is still recovering from his neuter. He loves to follow his nose and can pull a bit at first but with just a little guidance he walked easily with a loose lead. He seems to respond well to his name, he easily disengaged with the environment and turned his attention back on me when called.
After our walk we spent some time in the yard. He has such an easy going demeanor and he is such a joy to be around. He absolutely loves toys but we could play much as he is still recovering. Pickle is also very food motivated and caught on to some basic training very quickly. Once he realized I was looking for a "sit" and a short "stay" for a couple pictures, he had it down like a pro.
His ears are so filled with character as they flapped in the wind. He does has a unique paw that is a bit curved but it doesn't slow him down at all. Pickle is sweet, affectionate, smart and playful. He would make such a great addition to any family
The shelter reported-
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Pickle landed in the shelter due to know fault of his own. He is great with people and other dogs. He knows basic commands and is leash trained. He is even good with chickens having lived with free
roaming chickens in his previous home. Pickles has a high-energy level and would love to have a
canine partner in crime with a similar energy level. Shelter staff feel he would be fine with kids 10+ y/o due to his high energy level. Shelter staff also feel he would be fine in a home with small pets.

Magic- PAWS GRAD!
Magic is available for adoption!
Magic wasn’t long from being euthanized when Boise Bully Breed stepped in. He arrived to us in rough shape.
During his time with BBBR, Magic completed an 8-week training program at PAWS and absolutely crushed it. He’s smart, eager, and wants to be a good boy so badly. He does struggle with overstimulation in certain situations, especially around other dogs, which is why he’ll need to be the only pet in his future home. The shelter environment is tough on him. The noise, the chaos, it’s not where he’s meant to live and he’s toughed it out for too long.
Thanks to the loving and meticulous medical care, Magic doesn’t even look like the same dog anymore. He has filled out to a healthy weight. His hair has grown back. His skin is better. He feels better. Ongoing maintenance will be needed, but it’s manageable. What’s never changed is his heart.
Magic is gentle, playful and goofy with his stuffies. He finds comfort in his soft blankets. He is incredibly affectionate and bonds deeply with the people who show up for him. He’s been the kind of dog people overlook. The “too much work” dog. The “someone else will help” dog. But with some structure, patience, and a quiet home where he can finally decompress, this dog will be the most loyal companion you could ever ask for. Magic is just one of the many dogs we’ve pulled from death row. We take in the allergy dogs, the anxious, and the overlooked. The ones who have been sitting too long. The ones that no one else will say yes to. He is most deserving, a staff and volunteer favorite!
BREED: Bully breed blend
AGE: 5 years
WEIGHT: 55 lbs
COAT LENGTH: Short
HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.
GOOD WITH: Best as only pet; toddlers/young kiddos not advise – see above; Small animals and cats/dogs not recommended
