Joe
Caldwell, ID

JOE is a smart 5 year old cookie who learns quickly. He’s house-trained. He already knows sit, high-five, spin, down and many more tricks. He’s tried and enjoyed urban mushing with a dog scooter.
Even though some people in his past have done him wrong, JOE has yet to meet a person that he doesn’t like. He’s very affectionate and eager to please. While at the shelter, he has never re-directed toward a person, even when worked up about another cat or dog. Bonus...JOE absolutely adores children and has been around ages 2 to 12 with no issues...Actually enjoys interacting with them and doesn’t steal their food.
JOE’s secret career goal is agility master, so he is great at spinning in the air and getting out of harnesses. To stay in shape, he has practiced leaping onto counter tops in a single bound, and is smart enough to find out how to do other unwanted acrobatics. He’ll need a leader to give him boundaries to prevent any more of these antics.
JOE currently lives in a vet kennel, but has had some bad experiences early on with being placed in a plastic crate. Because he does learn quickly, he could probably learn to hang out in a crate with time and training.
JOE is recommended for an active person/family who is able to commit to him as an only pet. JOE won’t ever be an off-leash dog to take to the river or on a hike in a crowded area, but if you are looking for a project dog and know how to channel JOE’s energy for good, for learning, on-leash, and keep him focused when other animals are around, JOE might be your guy.

Blake
Kanab, UT

BLAKE is a mellow, neutered 1-2 years old big guy between 70-75 pounds. He's been labeled a "big teddy bear" by impound staff.
BLAKE loves walking and enjoys getting wet. He is in excellent health.
BLAKE's story is a sad one. He had a bad start in life by being adopted from a shelter by an neglectful owner who thought that it was OK for dogs to live on chains full-time. The Animal Control Officers believe that BLAKE had to suffer the same fate as he was found stray July 7 emaciated and with a broken chain/latch attached to his collar.

Coria
Logan, UT

Have you ever seen a shelter dog just curl up on her bed and close her eyes when dogs bark around her? That is exactly how kennel-stressed CORIA has been
passing her days for the last four months.
CORIA likes dogs, but we are looking for a forever home for her where she can be the only pet in the home.
Shelter staff says that 54-pound, 1.5 year old CORIA is more like a person.
She likes good food, likes to have fun, and will bond with someone quickly. S
he really enjoys walks and playing fetch.
CORIA is house-trained, leash-trained, and knows sit and down. She interacts with other dogs off-leash, but during this stressful time, she has shown to have a short fuse sometimes.
CORIA is healthy, spayed, has current vaccines, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee has been discounted to $87 so that she can find a forever home quickly.

Cedar City, UT

SID, 18090005, unaltered male, 70 lbs, 3 years old
SID arrived as a stray after entering a couple different shelters. He has been tossed from home to home and no one has taken the time to teach him. Because he likes to jump and play, he is looking for a family who will work with his manners and be an indoor dog, part of the family.
SID knows basic commands like sit. SID has been good with dogs, but will need slow introductions as he can be a little fearful of dogs. Healthy interactions with balanced dogs will help.
